Heart to Heart

Faith – with out it, we cannot please God; it is impossible!  (Heb 11:6)  This is the key – always.  What is Faith?  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb 11:1-2) It is the pure, simple confidence of a child. (Matt 18:3-4; Mk 10:15) With it, all the wisdom of heaven and earth are open to one who believes and does not doubt. (Jas 1:2-7) Even a tiny bit of faith is enough to move a mountain. (Matt 17:20) By faith, great men and women of God accomplished great things. (Heb 11) Faith is the way simple folk have received good gifts from God. (Matt 9:22; Lk 17:16) Faith is essential; yet without love, faith is worthless. (1 Cor 13:2) Although Jesus is the author of our faith (Heb 12:2), God is love. (1 Jn 4:16) In fact, God’s love gave us Jesus. (Jn 3:16) Love really is the more excellent way (1 Cor 12:31) because Love is greater than faith. (1 Cor 13:13)  But yet, our salvation comes by faith working through love.  (Gal 5:6)
